Phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity of leaves of Amaranthus hybridus L., Corchorus olitorius L and Hibiscus sabdariffa L. grown in northen of Côte d’Ivoire

Our work was based on the study of aqueous and hydroethanol extracts from leaves Amaranthus hybridus L. (Amaranthaceae), Corchorus olitorius (Tiliaceae) Hibiscus sabdariffa (Malvaceae), decoction. This presents for first time phytochemical screening antioxidant activity these three plants coming Côte d’Ivoire. Phytochemical analysis revealed presence polyphenols alkaloids in leaves. The total phenolic content showed variations, between 13.22 90.89 mg GAE/g. extract (90.89 GAE/g) decoction C. (57.89 had most elevated contents. evaluation reducing power with DPPH method that active (IC50 = 45.58 µg/mL). result agreement obtained by FRAP method.
